The fan issues continue

So one of the first things my Senegalese mom told me when we saw eachother after my Mauritania trip is that my fan broke while I was gone. Somehow it fell over and crashed into pieces. Great… No fan to sleep with. Let me tell you, it is impossible to sleep without a fan in this heat. The first night was ok because it was storming a little, so I only woke up 3 times drenched in my own sweat. But last night, I ended up sleeping on the floor by the big window in the living room. When that got too uncomfortable in the middle of the night, I moved to the couch, and then finally to my bed, where I dozed at best for the last 3 hours of the night. I don’t think I can last another night with a fan, I’m so tired. It’s too bad they cost so much, and that it’s me who’s going to have to forfeit the money, since my mama is very stubborn, and somewhat of a cheap person.
