My anniversary

Not much is new, because I’ve been spending a lot of time working this week. I just had a Wolof test (it was HARD!), I have a Senegalese Society paper due Friday, and I’ve been reading a novel for class (“God’s Bits of Wood” -it’s really good).
But I just wanted to point out that today is September 21st, which means I have officially been here for one month. At once if feels like I’ve only been here for a week and for an entire lifetime. Part of me is excited to go back (not to school, but to Christmas break, warm fires, and lots of Western food… oh yeah, and family), but I’m also pretty content here. I haven’t fallen in love with the place yet, as everyone who’s been here says I will, but I feel like that is to come. I still have another 3 months, man!
