    - Brittany, Bruno, and Phoenix

Bruno needed a root canal and the dentist was in Puebla. What better excuse to spend the weekend in Mexico’s 4th biggest city? Read on as we explore Puebla’s centro historico, zocalo, cathedral, the oldest public library in the Americas, the bohemian part of town, and so much more!

  • Louise - Thanks to Bruno’s rout canal dentistry, you got to spend a lovely weekend in Puebla, which seemingly has a very interesting slice of Mexican history!ReplyCancel

    • Brittany - YES! Love it when there is a silver lining to an otherwise negative experience!ReplyCancel

  • RCS - No volcanic action at Popo? Glad you folks are able to get back to tourist activities…and with Phoenix!ReplyCancel

    • Brittany - A walking baby is a fun baby! 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Elizabeth S - Loved this post; not only your description of Puebla and what you enjoyed about it but especially how Phoenix takes it all in when he is touring. I really enjoyed my one day in Puebla in March and determined that it is worthy of a few additional days. Hope to get back there some day to see more.ReplyCancel

    • Brittany - I know you were so happy to know we ended up going to Puebla. We were too!ReplyCancel

We are stuck in Cholula, Mexico. This probably sounds funny coming from a family who lives in a home-on-wheels. I mean, the essence of our very lifestyle is kind of the opposite of being stuck anywhere, right? So I might need to back up a bit on this one.

  • Louise - As usual, good reporting on your very interesting lives in P R O G R E S S!
    me, LouiseReplyCancel

    • Brittany - I love that – lives in PROGRESS. YES YES YES!ReplyCancel

  • jfred - another baby? whouaa ! 🙂ReplyCancel

    • Brittany - hehe, oui oui, we are crazy! 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Elizabeth S - Tu as bien raison, Mimi. I am glad you are enjoying Cholula, Brittany, and all you have access to there. A wise decision to remain at higher altitude as it pertains to the Zika virus. And even though your days can be very hot, the nights are cooler and much more comfortable than at sea level this time of year.ReplyCancel

    • Brittany - It’s so interesting what happens when we listen to our gut. Our plans to go to the coast just weren’t sitting well at all, and as soon as I finally read the signs, we ended up in the PERFECT place! Cheers to listening to our hearts, and may we remember to do it more often!!!ReplyCancel

  • RCS - Another example of a man going through physical pain simply to make his partner happy. Good job Bruno!ReplyCancel

🙂 xxReplyCancel

  • Lisa Sharples - So excited to hear that you want to have another baby!…fingers crossed that all goes well…perfect timing for siblings to be 3 years apart…Sorry to hear about Bruno needing a root canal…can’t imagine the pain. Happy to hear that he’s feeling better….Phoenix of course is as cute as ever…
You always seem to find happiness whenever there is a glitch in the journey…
    Take care,
    Love Lisa xoReplyCancel

    • Brittany - Yeah, we must be insane to want another haha! Thank you so much for reading, commenting, and wishing us well. Your words of encouragement always make me feel so good! xxReplyCancel

One year ago today we moved into our Big Blue Bus with a 4-month old baby. We had no clue what we were getting ourselves into, of course, but we did have a year of fun adventures through the US and Mexico. One year on the road in a bus with a baby feels like a big accomplishment and you can better believe we are celebrating! Check out our wrap-up footage to see what we’ve been up to on the road with a baby.

  • Elizabeth S - Ah, the memories. You really have covered a lot of mileage in one year. Wonder what the next year may bring…lots of new adventures no doubt.ReplyCancel

    • Brittany - I wonder, too! Thanks for watching my most-recent vlog! 🙂ReplyCancel

My parents spent over 4 months RVing in Mexico this winter. It was one of their first RV trips abroad, and after hearing from friends and family (and the news) that Mexico wasn’t safe, they weren’t sure whether they should go. Read this guest post by my dad to see how they felt about their time in Mexico and whether they would ever return.

  • Leslie Brown - I have a small piece of art hanging on my wall that says…
    “To travel is to live”

You two have so many dreams and so much courage. It is awesome!ReplyCancel

    • Brittany - Love that quote and I totally agree that my parents are doing it! 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Christophe & Louise Surette - Nice rendition of your Mexican adventure. Sooo good to read that you will be returning…exploring should never end‼️Hope to see you in Grand-Barachois this summer.ReplyCancel

    • Brittany - Their daughter is pretty happy they’ve chosen to let the adventures continue, too! 🙂ReplyCancel

  • Elizabeth S - Love it but then I could be a little biased:). Indeed, you captured all that our travel adventure was.ReplyCancel

    • Brittany - I sort of like these guest posts – wish I could convince you to give another perspective! 🙂ReplyCancel
