It wasn’t, at all. It was a mixture of humorous and creepy, but never at any point dangerous. I shared my concerns mainly to explain why we didn’t want to spend the next 24 hours with Mr. Saayyid Saaid, as under normal circumstances, most tourists would jump at the opportunity to spend more time with local people. Don’t worry – even without my Herculean husband, I’m pretty good at taking care of myself! 🙂

If you hadn’t shared your concerns in the blog I would have thought he was simply a friendly sort who felt the need to be hospitable.

Perhaps you should follow your first instincts and not put yourself in any form of danger…but I am glad that your herculean husband was there to give protection.
