I’ve been in touch a little bit over the last few months with members from Daara J, that band I saw in Chicago in July which served as a sort of turning point in my thoughts on going to Africa. Well, Tuesday night one of them, Faada Freddy, came over to my house. He originally said he was just going to stop by to say hi so that he could know where I live, but he ended up staying for almost two hours. We sat in the garden and chatted, and it was so nice! He is incredibly genuine and intelligent, I truly enjoy his company. I think I just made a new friend!
My stomach is feeling a little sick since yesterday, and so I haven’t eaten much. Consequently, I am feeling a little lightheaded and weak right now, and I’m feeling a little dehydrated too. Boy, those stomach issues sure start a chain of problems.
