Yesterday, after teaching, I decided to take the leisurely route home and stop to take a few photos of what I see during my drive from my cottage to school. The first picture is a view approaching D section, where I live. In the front, are newly-planted tobacco crops. It turns out that this is […]

  • Brittany - It’s 22,000 hectares!! And it used to be twice that size, before half was taken away for resettlement! It’s gigantic!ReplyCancel

When I was on the flight from New York to Jo’burg, I watched a TV program where Gordon Ramsey was on a culinary tour of Thailand. It’s hard to know where to begin this blog post, and I’m sure I will be guilty of jumping from subject to subject. There’s just so much to share, and I’ve been putting this “first Zimbabwe” post off for three nights now. Can’t really blame me, though – I am jet-lagged, after all. I suppose […]

  • Suzanne & Terry - Hi Brittany,
Happy Landings. So glad the initial impressions are good ones. Look out for the msasa trees; spring (really, it is spring!) is when they’re red, and they’re stunning.

I am so looking forward to reading about your adventure, and to seeing pictures.

In Harare, Sopranos is a nice cafe, as was the cafe at Willowmead.

We’re glad to hear that you & the cats are well
    much love
