Getting Back on the Horse

I’ve been back in Zimbabwe for almost a week, and I am slowly returning to normalcy. The first few days, I was exhausted and a bit under the weather, so I didn’t do much except for sleep, cuddle my cats, and watch tv shows on my computer.
But now I seem to have gotten back on the horse, both literally and figuratively.
I have ridden 3 days in a row, and two of those rides have been “out-rides”, meaning I’ve left the paddock to explore the farm. Rebecca’s Son was quite naughty and difficult to ride at first because he hadn’t been ridden in two weeks due to getting some type of innoculation. But yesterday, I had a great ride and even tried cantering for the first time! It was a bit scary but also fast and exciting. I’m getting back on that horse!
At home, things are better than they were before I left for London. This is due to two things:
1) I now have electricity 24 hours a day! The tobacco is being cured now, so the generator has to run all day and night. This is great news for me, as I now don’t have to do all my cooking and school work and play within the hours of 6-8pm. It’s great fun and I’ve been taking full advantage, cooking up a storm at random hours of the day, and surfing the net for hours!
2) My house is starting to become a home. My sofa has finally come, which means I no longer have to sit on the floor. I have a new, beautiful coffee table (on loan from Amanda), and my beautiful purple curtains have arrived! Once I get a few things on the walls, I will post a few photos of my home.
Now, if my luggage could just arrive, my home would be complete.
