I’ve just returned from a mini Euro-trip to Barcelona, Carcassonne, and Bordeaux, and it was so, so fun! It wasn’t just great to be traveling again – after a two month hiatus – or that I got to discover three brand new destinations. It’s that I got to share the trip with two of my very bestest friends in the world!
There’s nothing like a 10-day reunion in Europe with girlfriends to re-energize oneself after so many non-nomadic months!

France doesn’t unveil itself to me from behind the lens of its tourist towns. It unveils itself to me at its long, food-filled tables. Increasingly, through these rituals of food and connection, France has ceased to be a two-dimensional place with a long list of places to see – instead, it has become a comforting, comfortable, community-filled home.

After their three week adventure traveling in Morocco in a rented camper van, I interviewed my parents about their experience.
