Things that Annoy Me:
– There is a leak in the bathroom sink which means that there’s always water on the bathroom floor and it gets on the bottoms of my pants. Thankfully the leak was fixed yesterday, so now the bathroom is water free, except after showers.
– There’s a leak in the toilet so I have to turn this knob and wait for the toilet to fill up with water before flushing it. Thankfully, when the other leak was fixed, so was this one.
– My little sisters love, and I mean love, staring at me, especially when I’m getting ready in the morning (as if that’s so fascinating). Thankfully I have a door and lock to my room, which I have now begun using.
– It’s been cold and rainy all week (as soon as I mentioned how warm the weather had gotten. It was explained to me though that this cold rainy weather signals the end of winter and that once it has gone, spring will be on its way. Today is the first sunny day this week, so I’m crossing my fingers.
– Every morning I have to wait for the bathroom. This in itself is no big deal, except for the fact that I have to pee like a racehorse in the morning. It’s less than ideal waiting for 20 minutes for the bathroom when I feel like my bladder is going to explode. I have found that if I wake up earlier, though, even by 15 minutes, for whatever reason the bathroom use is less backlogged.
– Cold showers. I can’t emphasize enough how uncomfortable a cold shower is the morning is, unless you’re in Africa or Thailand. This is Nepal! Thankfully, my brother managed to acquire a gas tank today somehow (despite the shortage of gas in Nepal – I guess he’s got the hookups) so I am looking forward to a nice warm shower today.
– The most annoying cock cock-a-doodles right by my window every morning from 5am on. For this one, I have no solution but to murder and eat the thing, and I don’t believe in that, so I guess I’m out of luck. Oh well, 6 out of 7 ain’t bad!

  • Holly - I had the same problem in Costa Rica. I went around telling people to “eat more chicken.”ReplyCancel
