These past ten weeks have been a whirlwind of a different sort – the whirlwind of being new parents. Whoever said (ahem, Bruno!) that having a baby doesn’t change your life or take up space was wrong! Will we truly be able to travel in a bus with a baby???  My blog hasn’t been very active these past few months. In fact, four months ago, I announced that I’d be taking a semi-break from Wandering Footsteps. I’d post our summer and fall adventures at a more leisurely pace so that we could focus on family, relaxation and our bus renovations. That was only half-true.  I’m in Canada, and Bruno’s in France. Snif. But don’t worry, he’s making his way to my continent… and with Totoyaya! This blog explains why we’re bringing our home-on-wheels to Canada this year, and ends with a VERY IMPORTANT request from all my North American readers! Please read, and PLEASE HELP!!  I think I’ve finally realized that Bruno and I are unreliable plan-makers. Actually, let me rephrase that: You can absolutely depend upon us to make – and then change – our plans. Here’s the story of why we could be spotted last month speeding up the Mediterranean Coast of Spain instead of sipping sangria and chillin’ on the beach.  Less than a year after taking a ferry OUT of Africa, we’ve taken one back INTO Africa. In this post, I describe my concerns leading up to our departure, the ins and outs of the ferry from Spain to Morocco (including costs and a recommended shipping agent), and what it feels like to be back again in Africa, our favorite continent. |
