This summer – like most – we visited my family home in New Brunswick, Canada. But this year, for the first time – we brought our baby boy, Phoenix, along for the trip. It was a new kind of summer in New Brunswick, and one like no other!  Our latest vlog (keyword here is “late”) tells you about our 2.5 month trip away from our Big Blue Bus. We tell you all the different destinations we visit (hint: there are 8!) and why. Spoiler alert: we are visiting one country for the first time, woot woot!  Fifty kilometers east of Mexico City, the little village of Nanacamilpa welcomes visitors every summer evening to their now-infamous firefly sanctuary. Tonight I am one of those visitors, riding past the potato and corn fields into the pine forest, a sprinkle of raindrops blurring my eyesight. I am not arriving to the firefly sanctuary in our Big Blue Bus, but on the back of a quad, with three police escorts.  Our family spent five whole weeks in Cholula, a lovely town just southeast of Mexico City, and just outside the equally lovely historic city of Puebla. Our latest vlog takes you along on our favorite outing in Cholula – a trip to the public square, or zocalo, where you can people watch, snack, shop, play in playgrounds, and admire the architecture and surrounding churches.
